what are people thinking!
An owner called the clinic, her cat was losing hair at the base of it’s tail and on it’s inner thighs so they wanted to euthanize the cat! It was a long conversation about how the cat was an outdoor cat and currently they don’t have it on a flea/tick medication. The suggestion was to try this prevention before they decide to euthanize and that our clinic would not euthanize due to a flea problem. The owner called back and said they did see a flea and a red patch from scratching, again asked how much it would cost to euthanize. The suggestion at this point was to have them contact a shelter for relinquishing their cat. What are people thinking!!
