One in five puppies or kittens must restart their vaccine series because clients miss the window for when the next doses are due. If the client doesn’t schedule at the time of checkout at the first visit, these clients often forget to schedule the next vaccine with their veterinarian. This is when they miss the window and have to start all over again. It would be helpful if breeders and rescue leagues inform the new puppy or kitten owner the importance of this process.
